For young women around the world, the idea of a college education remains little more than a Dream. For Tammy Tibbetts, that Dream inspired her to start a new movement in communities worldwide. She’s the First is a fast-growing not-for-profit organization that supports young women who will be the first in their families to attend university. With more than 116 chapters, Tammy, her team and their supporters have already helped nearly 400 Winners take that decisive step toward changing their lives and changing the world.

Kelvin Doe
As a young man in Sierra Leone, Kelvin Doe has done more to innovate for a better world than most people five times his age. Against the wishes of his protective mother, Kelvin would wake himself every night to work on assembling a radio out of raw materials he had gathered from nearby garbage piles. He had a very specific Dream – to help organize a better conversation and more engaging soundtrack for the people of Sierra Leone as a radio DJ. Against all odds Kelvin fulfilled his Winners Dream. Today, as DJ Focus, Kelvin has told his story of courage and innovation to audiences around the world.
